Some of the music library’s circulation policies have been updated or changed. Since we will begin imposing fines on overdue items starting this summer, I thought it would be a good idea to review those here:

Fines are coming!

[Insert evil laugh here]…

Dear fans of the Philip Howard Music Library-

For years, we have not imposed overdue fines. We have been able to block your account if you have an item that has been checked out too long, and we can charge a replacement fee. But, daily fines were not imposed.

This is going to change.

Starting in May 2011 (after the Spring Semester is finished), we will begin applying daily fines. These fines will be similar to the fine schedule enforced in Walker Library, but they have not been finalized yet.

So, we just want to let you know. Get yourself in the habit of turning in your items on time now, and that way, when fines are enforced, you’ll be used to it.

Just wanted to stop by and let everyone know that woodwind players are awesome. This has nothing at all to do with the research tools session I will be having with them today. Nope, they were awesome before that.
