Dear fans of the Philip Howard Music Library-
For years, we have not imposed overdue fines. We have been able to block your account if you have an item that has been checked out too long, and we can charge a replacement fee. But, daily fines were not imposed.
This is going to change.
Starting in May 2011 (after the Spring Semester is finished), we will begin applying daily fines. These fines will be similar to the fine schedule enforced in Walker Library, but they have not been finalized yet.
So, we just want to let you know. Get yourself in the habit of turning in your items on time now, and that way, when fines are enforced, you’ll be used to it.
